Terribly nostalgic. I was extremely close to my Meme and Mema. They taught me to cook and bake from practically the cradle. I write about them a lot when the recipes take me back. I like to think of my food posts as a little love letter to them both.

Lover of salty gulf air and water. I don’t care if you think we have the ugliest water you’ve ever seen. It’s beautiful to me. I spent 23 years…including the formative years of my life…living on the south Texas gulf (still pretty close to it…but it’s nowhere close to the same thing.) The salty gulf air sooths my soul like nothing else in the world.
